6th Annual Miami College Expo

Jan 04, 2026

Miami, FL — January 24, 2026

The 6th Annual Miami Black College Expo™ is returning to Miami with a powerful mission: to connect students and families with colleges, scholarships, and the tools needed to successfully navigate the path to higher education. The free event will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at William H. Turner Technical Arts High School and Continuing Education Center, bringing together colleges, universities, educators, and community leaders under one roof.

Hosted by the National College Resources Foundation (NCRF), the Miami Black College Expo™ is part of a national tour designed to close the college access gap for underserved, underrepresented, and first-generation students. The Expo serves middle school, high school, transfer students, adult learners, and families, offering direct access to admissions representatives and critical college-planning resources.

Students attending the Expo will have the opportunity to meet with more than 50 colleges and universities, including Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), public and private four-year institutions, community colleges, and trade schools. Many participating schools will offer on-the-spot admissions decisions, application fee waivers, and scholarship consideration, with more than $1 million in scholarships available nationally through the Black College Expo™ program.

In addition to college recruitment, the event will feature informational workshops and seminars focused on key topics such as financial aid, FAFSA preparation, college readiness, and academic pathways. Families are encouraged to attend alongside students to gain insight into long-term planning and support systems that lead to college success.

Founded by Dr. Theresa Price, the National College Resources Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating, empowering, and connecting students to college, careers, and beyond. NCRF is best known for producing the Black College Expo™, one of the largest and most impactful college access initiatives in the country. Each year, NCRF helps thousands of students gain college acceptances and access scholarships while promoting college completion and workforce readiness.

Community members who wish to support the mission of the Miami Black College Expo™ can do so by visiting the organization’s Headquarterz channel, where donations help fund programming, scholarships, and free college access events like this one. The Headquarterz channel also serves as the central hub for event updates, exclusive content, photos, videos, and announcements before and after the Expo, allowing supporters to follow the real-time impact of their contributions.

Organizers recommend that students arrive prepared with copies of their transcripts, test scores (if available), and a list of questions for college representatives to make the most of the experience.

The 6th Annual Miami Black College Expo™ stands as a vital community resource — opening doors, creating opportunities, and empowering the next generation of college students across South Florida.
